Mobile phones: reuse or recycling?

After receipt, your product is thoroughly tested and categorized into one of four different streams:

1. Products that are fully functional and immediately suitable for reuse
2. Products suitable for reuse after minor repairs
3. Products not suitable for reuse due to age or condition, but from which parts can still be recovered for repairs; the remaining materials are then recycled
4. Products that can no longer be reused and contain no usable parts; these are directly recycled

Devices approved for reuse are traded worldwide through our network of partners. Our trading partners are certified companies that comply with all applicable standards.

For recycling, GSMLoket works with certified companies to ensure devices are processed properly without causing harm to the environment.

Through strict controls, we prevent recyclable materials from being mixed with second-hand goods shipments. These devices are processed directly by our recycling partners, allowing valuable raw materials to be recovered and reused in new products.
